Affiliate disclosure

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. If you buy through a link here, Amazon pays us a commission at no extra cost to you.

Each Amazon link opens the product page on amazon.com directly. Those addresses are excluded from search engines.

Where the money goes, and where it doesn't. Commission never decides rank; the five checks in the method section do. It never hides a product's lack of independent testing, and no brand can pay to be listed.

Prices. We do not print prices. They move daily, and the number on Amazon's own page is the only one that counts at checkout. We also ignore struck-through list prices: in our October data, 14 unrelated listings quoted the same $239.99.
